Introduction

Welcome to boilerlaw.org (the “Website”), operated by the Boiler Law Alumni Association (the “Association”), an organization working toward recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under U.S. federal law, though all state and federal paperwork has not yet been finalized. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Website, sign up for our newsletter, become a member, participate in events or forums, or otherwise interact with our services.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. Users must be at least 18 years old to utilize the Website. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18, and if we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete it.

Membership in the Association is restricted to graduates of Purdue Global Law School. By applying for membership, you represent and warrant that you are a graduate of Purdue Global Law School. Newsletter subscriptions are open to the general public, but all users agree that they will not join the Website for full membership unless they meet this criterion.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for newsletters, apply for membership, participate in events or forums, or contact us.

  • Newsletter Subscribers: We collect your email address and name.
  • Members: We collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, graduation year from Purdue Global Law School, and honors received during law school. By becoming a member, you consent to the Association publicly presenting your name, graduation date, and honors on the Website. You also consent to us confirming the accuracy of your provided information with Purdue Global Law School, including seeking access to relevant records for verification purposes.

We do not collect payment information directly. Donations are processed through third-party providers like PayPal, which handles nonprofit donations securely. Please refer to PayPal’s privacy policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

Additionally, through user-generated features such as events or forums, you may voluntarily share additional information or content. You agree not to share information or media from another user without their express written consent. For public events open to all, sharing information related to the event is permitted, but members must not share private user information outside the Association without consent.
